Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with your assessment, and especially about the selling of a product -- he did come across quite a bit as a salesman. The only advantage the Dems have with this is that the product is abhorrent and on its face a crock of shiznit, so in his selling it, it's only those who are willing to eat shiznit who will be willing to buy it. The rest of us see the shiznit for what it is. Putting icing on a dogshiznit cake doesn't change the fact that it's still a dogshiznit cake, and you wouldn't want to eat it.
