It has happened, music of my youth sounds like "oldies" to me

I bristled when the music of my youth started being played on the Oldies station a few years ago. Sure, the songs were old and older but certainly not "oldies". Then it happened recently listening to these songs and they do have that "oldies" quality to it. Crap!
