Followup to yesterday's MBP apparent meltdown

Apple Diagnostics won't be able to see anything wrong if it's a power-related hardware problem. Either it has power or it doesn't. I don't think it will be able to diagnose an intermittent USB problem either unless it happens to be acting up during the test--and even then, maybe not.
