I have to wonder what function would a USB port on a TV have, if not for the input of media?
Charging iDevices?
Seems more likely those, if provided, would be near the bed or nightstands.
All the flat screens I've seen (ok, not all that many) have/had USB ports and they were all for connecting a source of media.
And if the TV does accept media through a USB port, it has to be one of the formats the TV supports.
