The Ferrari of scroll wheels
This is probably the worst 'feature' of most input devices — mice or trackballs.
I suppose somebody decided I don't need a smooth scrolling wheel, and that granularity greater than one line at a time is just decadent and needless.
Apparently, this mouse can do notched one-line scrolling or freewheeling scrolling.
Anybody know if freewheeling, this mouse can scroll with the granularity and smoothness of a Magic TrackPad?
M1Max here, using 1st gen MX. The MX is not as smooth, but I daresay it can be even more precise/granular than the built-in trackpad. I can more easily control the scroll to 1 pixel at a time using the wheel than I can the trackpad. Just roll the wheel more slowly. Doing the same on the trackpad can be finicky since you need to move your fingers a minute amount which is difficult to do consistently.
