One of the big ironies in this staff shortage due to C19 causing staffing shortages was the push by the carriers to end the mask mandate. I would have thought they would want to keep employees healthy because cancelled flights means lost profits.
^^^This…..I have friends that are airline pilots and they say as it is, crew get colds/flus at a much higher rate than the general population (in fact it’s guaranteed, multiple times during each season). COVID-19 is just looking to mutate into a more viral form. It’s crazy, you’d think in high risk environments they’d want to mitigate the risk as much as possible. I think we may have one or two (ex)airline pilots in the forum that might want to corroborate that?
