LCD monitor aquisition likely authorized by purchasing dept.; let's have those recommendations folks!

Let's go with a budget of less than $500, screen size of 20"-ish.

Will consider 4:3 or widescreen. Pivoting might be cool.

No USB hubs/speakers/cup holders, etc. necessary ---- just give me a great picture.

Would also consider a used Apple ADC, however I doubt the screen size/cost ratio is there?

Available for inspection at local big box stores is a plus, especially if I can compare it to something else recommended.

At the moment I'm wondering if the Dell UltraSharp 20" might be better for what I want than say, a Dell 20" or 22" widescreen at a similar price if the UltraSharp gives a better picture. On the other hand, if the widescreens are just as good but mainly lack the extra inputs and height adjustment etc. I don't care about that as much. An UltraSharp 24" widescreen would shut me up for a long time but I don't think I can stretch that far ...
