Keypad door locks - did someone here decide on a good one?

Door frames must be reinforced by some type of 'door jamb armor' to protect against a simple kick-in attack.

Most residential frames are softwood so the deadbolt just tears through the jamb with the above.

Even if you install longer screws.

Applying the armor usually involves removing any molding and installing metal reinforcement that runs from the top of the jamb to the bottom.

It's also much quieter to kick in a door than to break a window so the former is preferred by anyone seeking to gain entrance to a home.
