Microwave popcorn smell isn't great and doesn't bother me, except for the smell it imparts on subsequently cooked foods.
So that means cleaning it after cooking popcorn.
The really annoying smell is burnt popcorn.
I knew someone who was banned from cooking popcorn in the duty microwave, unless she sat in front of it for the entire 3-3.5min it took to cook it.
Those silicone poppers look to be just the ticket for me.
A Stir Craze or any other dedicated electric popper just takes up more room than I want, on the counter or in the cupboard.
I found a 'single serving' size (yeah, right— about 3/4 of a bag of popcorn) that collapses.
Durability for high usage might be an issue, but it should work fine for me.
Thank you for that, Tominator!
