Amazon provides the most deceptive purchase information out of any business I’ve ever seen. The reason that access to your history was so important is that Amazon refuses to include the product name on your credit card statements. You’re given a cryptic string of digits with dates that sometimes don’t match your order date. Good luck confirming that the charge is for something you ordered without downloading your history for the month.

It is tedious but i actually do this every month by going through the Your Orders page.

You have to wait for a post-drop off email confirmation ( what could possibly go wrong?). I got the email confirmation, then got an email informing me that I received a credit for the return. A few days ago I got an email saying that they never received the return and they are charging me for the screws. Now I wonder how much time it will take me to get this corrected.

this happened to me last year with an order returned via Whole Foods. It actually only took a short phone call to fix. I simply pointed out I had a drop off confirmation email.

I'd never seen that Order History Report feature. I just checked and my entire order history since 1998 is still viewable under Your Orders.
Yes going thru your orders now looks to be the only way you can track what you buy. There's no more downloadable CSV file available, which was really helpful. Digging around I see I never requested a return for the screws I bought so I have no idea what they are doing at this point but Im happy to pay for them as they helped to repair a kitchen cabinet door.
