Also check into the danger of drilling into a lithium ion battery.
If you haven't removed the battery (on those older devices that had removable batteries) or haven't opened the case enough to actually see all of the lithium ion battery, I don't recommend using a drill.
Good point. I will def pull the battery.
All the ones I have that need to be disposed of had removable batteries.
