I've always loved the moon roof in the car. It's the drainage system they have that's been a PITA.

If the moon roof were a panel that didn't open, would it need a drainage system.

My moonroof is inside the car and opens within the roof and not outside it.

I've done the tilt thing a few times to cool the car down a little quicker before turning on the A/C.

But otherwise, it's just the shade that gets opened or closed.

LOVE opening the shade at night.

Yeas back, a neighbor had '50s green Mercury (?) with dark green glass comprising the front half of the roof.

On hot, sunny days there was a tarp-like cover that snapped over it.

It was a sharp looking car, but I can't find any example of it, just 'Vista-Cruiser' stawags and this definitely wasn't one.

In my younger days, I always loved driving with the roof open especially at night. Unfortunately when I sold my house and moved in with the wife years ago, my parking spot in our driveway was under my neighbors oak tree and that's meant tons of sh!t, both bird and tree constantly bombarding my roof. Hence, the clogged drain a few times.
