Is This Really The Best We Can Do?
#27
Word, v63.

Since October 7th, I have worried that 15 million people in another part of the world, their actions and their suffering, will result in an exponential increase in suffering and harm globally, to human rights, to environmental causes, and to democratic governance.

Think carefully - what's more important? Yes, I'd like innocent people everywhere to never be killed by "military" (or, for that matter "police" / police) action. I'd much rather an incompetent kleptokakistocratic narcissist not be given the power to reshape the world in his petty transactional image. I think it's possible to have both - advocacy for the safety of Palestinians endangered by Israel's counteroffensive, AND rejection of a twice impeached criminal defendant candidate at home.

Don't let the "lesser of two evils" be the enemy of "the greater good."
