I believe in the rule of law, and abusing the law is unconscionable.
It was clear that had it been anybody else, criminal persecution would not have occurred, given Hunter was a non-violent first time offender.
This reminds me of the woman who was told she could vote and did, though she wasn't entitled (by virtue of being on parole?) and received a five-year sentence which was way out of line.
I think it was later reduced to time served, or dismissed.
An obvious miscarriage of justice, as was Hunter's case.
