My first was a light blue '67 Chevy Bel Air, bought in '83 or '84. I'm not sure how much I paid, but $300 comes to mind. Three large-ish people could fit comfortably in the front bench seat. Also, with the hood open, a person could stand between the engine and the cowl.
My second car was a '77 or '78 Toyota Corona (yes, Corona not Corolla) a couple years later. Again, I don't remember how much I paid and I don't think I could even guess. I'm also not positive on the year; it might have been a '74.
I didn't know they had a "Lancer" back then. For a number of years, my dad owned a '63 Dodge Dart, also with the 3-speed push button automatic.
