BYD vs Tesla - the numbers don't lie

I saw an article interviewing one of the CEOs of a Chinese car company that said they are choosing not to come here because they feel Americans are irrational. Sounds weird, but makes sense to me. Why expend the resources when other places are more predictable? I was in Costa Rica and there were BYDs everywhere, most of them EVs. Some had the whole name spelled out (Build Your Dreams), which was cool.
