I've been summoned maybe five or six times, went to the courthouse a couple or three times, and never once invited to go to a courtroom. Total waste of my time. Everybody else except the potential jurors was getting paid for being there. The litigants wait until the day of trial to reach a settlement. There should be an automatic penalty for that, with the proceeds going to the jurors.
