I know it's possible and I know that it's done with multiple layers in Photoshop and chroma settings in DVDSP, but I can't find a clear utility to describe the process. I understand how to make a custom shape for buttons but I want to make it only show up where the cursor is.
For example, if I have a list of four items on a menu, the default button is the first item in the list. Its button should be the only one with the icon next to or on it. As I move one down, the button for the next one down should light up.
Normally I would do this by cheating and doing an auto-activate to a new menu with a different background containing the "button". This won't work though because my menu has a singular audio track and I would lose continuity jumping around to a four different menus.
Suggestions?
