What a great movie. Not that the acting was much but the story was inspirational and moving. I can't imagine being a slave, less than a human being, escaping, and then returning to face either death in battle or slavery if recaptured. The bravery of those men must have been terrific. The general, played by matthew broderick, was not well portrayed and his motivations remained unexplained. Was he truly moved by his men's spirit or was he simply working to achieve what was necessary for political aspirations?
