Road Runner Highspeed: Two Cable Modems?
#12
You can hook up two, but it'll depend on your cable company to get it to work. You'll need it to be registered. You may end up with 2x the bill for cable internet, if they allow it. You might be able to use it and just pay for another IP address. You could have over 10 cable modems hooked up in your house (Assuming the signal lasted, and the cable company would activate them).

It's just much more logical to use a wired or wireless router.

Have you considered powerline networking? (Where the signal is run over the AC line to plugged in dongles).

You absolutely sure you can't run a cable, at least part way?

What about using an Airport Express or other wireless repeater? (I assume this is what you asked about a few days ago).

Phone lines? If they're not in use, you might be able to repurpose them for an ethernet line. They'll be bad quality lines, but may work and be better than nothing.
