h', epoxy grout has been around for some years. Like the name says, it is tile grout based on epoxy. You mix two parts and then the coloring agent. I just used it on tiles around my new bathroom tub, and I can highly recommend it. It is almost water proof, so no worries about water penetrating through. Plus, it was easy to put on.
The older tile men I talked to were all very hesitant, some even refusing to use it, but the man at the Tile CenterĀ® store who is the expert talked me into using it. He said he had used it on his bath floor and tub surround, and it was the first time for him too. On his recommendation, I bought it, and I am really glad I did!
The brand name I used was SpectraLock made by Laticrete: http://www.laticrete.com/
I can't say enough about it...
