rexrzer- be careful w/ that belkin; I've had a few client installations where the loads were too close for comfort, and experienced the random shut downs first hand, and can attest to their reality. all belkins have been redeployed to light load workstations, and function fine when potential capacity is much lower, rather than closer to max. OTOH, the higher capacity APC's & TrippLites have made funky warning noises without crapping out, as not-so-subtle hints to re-adjust capacity. after the belkin experiences of the past, I'm using a similar rated APC unit to what you passed up for the same DC 2.3 G5. also, the new G5's w/ the new and different connector and heavier cable make a bunch of low level power noises when plugged in; not powered on, as though some goodies are getting juiced, and I wonder if whatever those electronics are, have anything to w/ the random shut downs...
