Can a UPS Damage your PMac G5?

What is seems to be more of is a case of someone running a big power-draw Mac off of a bargain-basement UPS that isn't rated for that kind of hardware, and then proceeding to complain about it. I've seen set-ups like this before, where even servers are hooked up to the cheapie lowest-end UPS that you can get from CompUSA.

FWIW I have an APS XS 1500 as the UPS for my G5 (Dual 2GHz).
