Voluntary MacResource Birthday Extravaganza: SKYLANE
#14
Hey MacResource Guys...

Thanks for the Birthday greetings... I appreciate it. I was pleasantly surprised, put a great big smile on my face this Monday afternoon! I am halfway to 90! I would have seen the greeting sooner, but friends/family kept me busy all weekend long. WHiP on the other board told me the greeting was over here. Smile

rgG: I like the Cessna SKYLANE banner! I am going to clip that out and save it. For those wondering where my screenname comes from, that is it in the picture. It is a Cessna Model Skylane, often referred to as a Cessna 182. In my 1500 hours of flying experience, nearly 300 hours was in a Cessna Skylane II RG (retractable gear), a wonderful plane to fly. By the way rgG, how did you know it was my birthday?

Harbourmaster: That's a big plane to step up to! You live pretty close to me, so I am sure you see that big C-17 aircraft when it flies in and out of Long Beach airport. Impressive! You can see a pic of my airplane at http://hometown.aol.com/skylane, it still for sale unless I can find money to keep it! That is a 1966 Beechcraft Baron C-55 model in the picture. It is just 5 years younger than me.

WHiiP: Fear the 'BELL?

Lew Zealand: I did treat myself to a Mac Mini last Thanksgiving! Smile I certainly don't miss my Beige since the Mini is much more capable. The Beige was fun to tinker with though. You, jimmypoo, guitarist and several others were great with advice. bbkim now has my Beige, he set it up as a tutor for his little boys.

Thanks to the rest for the greetings!

Jeff
