Popcorn 2 is a Universal Binary. Toast 7 isn't. So if you convert and burn a lot of video DVDs on an Intel Mac, Popcorn 2 will make a big difference in your encoding times. Actually, I've read that Popcorn 2 encodes video faster on PowerPCs than Toast 7, as well.
I think you can manually configure Toast 7 to encode video with the specs needed to play on a PSP or iPod Video.
Both apps are well worth owning.
