grad, I haven't seen it yet, but... so far, I have to say I'm not too impressed with Tennant. I guess I'm just weird in this, because most people seems to like him better (especially the ladies, who fancy him). Eccleston really grew on me, as the first season went on-- especially liked his relationship with Rose, which seemed to develop into something multifaceted and deep; whereas Tennant seems to lack depth.
