Can Tiger network with OS 9.1?

MacMagus, he may be referring to that, starting with Tiger, I believe X does not use AFP. So if you try connecting to an OS9 networked drive from Tiger, you get an error message (don't recall the exact one, something about an incompatible AFP or something). The solution is to connect using the IP address, rather than the machine name... at least that's what I remember.
