I have always said that ads that ty to convince you you're somehow inadequate for not buying a product are morally bankrupt. A good example of a good ad that does -not- do this is the Quizno's campaign-- they used a cute little creation of some sort and it got plenty of attention.
The current apple ads absolutely sell you on some sort of "hip" image, and if you don't fall in line then you should feel like less of a person.
I'm extremely dissapointed in Apple and embarrased whenever I catch sight of these commercials.
Additionally, the one with the japanese gal is appalling in about 100 other ways, and Apple deserves to be sued by every sort of asian defense league in existence.
