I stopped listing popular items for a dollar. In my opinion they get bid up far more than they’re worth and that is not my intent. I simply want a fair price for buyer and seller.
I’ve had auctions in the past where I’ve stated the item was NOT WORTH more than $1K only to have it go for $1.2K. To me there’s just something dishonest by selling, even to the naive, something for significantly more than its worth.
That said, I don’t think $800 is unfair for the configuration you have listed. It could be had a little cheaper and it could be had for a lot more. Be happy with $800, but be content that $700 would be a good deal for both parties.
