It has been in the mid 90s here in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. We have some of those window fans, and as the outside temp drops below the inside temp, we turn the fans on, and the temp in the bedroom slowly drops to maybe 75 by sunup.
We hope it will be back in the mid 80s Monday or Tuesday. That I can live with, as it goes to mid-low 60s outside at night, and the fans work great then.
We had a huge attic fan installed several weeks ago, and that dropped the temp in the house a few degrees right there, and we had the attic insulated up to R-38 on Friday (up from @ R-10). I shudder to think how hot it would be inside without those 2 changes shielding us from the oven in the attic.
