Making DVDs from TIVO or Dish Recorder
#8
[quote tuqqer]ADent: if I understand you correctly: any DVD player/recorder will allow me to hook up to the DishDVR and both record from it (to a burned DVD), as well as show DVDs on my TV. Is that correct?
I guess ADent isn't responding, so I will. I'm betting almost every standalone DVD recorder out there will be able to hook up to your DishDVR and record from it, as well as play DVDs. Output from DVR (typically S-Video output for video, standard RCA jacks for audio) will go into DVD recorder. Pretty much like you would hook up a VCR. Then you'd hook up the output of the DVD recorder to your TV.

Your best bet is to try to download the user manual of any product you're thinking of buying and look for the pictures of how they suggest you hook it up.
