[quote M A V I C][quote BLeonard]And most Macs come with Bluetooth so no receiver is needed.
I never said I was connecting directly to a Mac. I simply asked if someone could verify this mouse does not come with a receiver. It would be one of the very, very few that don't.
I would be using this with Macs, but it would go through a KVM. The back of mine is so snug, that the regular BT adapters wont fit in. Many BT mice come with receivers that have a regular USB cable so I can easily attach the receiver.
Additionally, there are so many cables and such near my KVM, that BT, RF... get flaky so having a receiver with a cable lets me put it further away from the interference.
HUH!?!?
MAVIC, I have never seen a BT mouse that comes with a BT dongle. BT dongles are transmitters, and receivers, not just receivers.
What I think you are confused about is the proprietary wireless mice that have to be packaged with a receiver because they are not a standard protocol like BT. Also, you can use a A male to A female USB extension cable on a BT dongle, I have a six footer on my Class 1 BT dongle, I have it zip tied to the top shelf on my desk, it helps extend the range.

Not that there might be someone out there that has a BT dongle packaged with a BT mouse, but I haven't seen one.
