My personal opinion only ...
No plans to see it. It's just too much like "we'll do anything ... exploit anything ... to make a buck." And as for the people who go see em ... IMHO it's like paying to see a fresh car wreck.
First of all, I don't need to be reminded of this event. I LIVED IT. Again IMO, these movies about 9/11 are ultimately part of our "it isn't real unless it's on TV" mentality, and our continuing inability to accept reality unless we can reshape it into some kind of "story" or "narrative," even if that doesn't quite match up with what actually happened. In a word, "truthiness."
Secondly, putting Hollywood stars in such a thing, and releasing it as a profit-making venture is, to me, disgusting. I'm probably the only one in the world who feels like that, but that's okay.
