Parallels Desktop only runs on a single core. Don't see how that would be a big deal for IE or WinForms.
I recently set up Parallels (with Win2K) running on a Mac mini Core Duo with 1.5GB of RAM -- no complaints about the speed of either Parallels or Mac OS X. The MacBook Pro will be even faster, so long as you have sufficient RAM in there. So much more convenient than BootCamp for those that don't need every last drop of performance out of their Windows setup.
