Apple fessed up to the inadequate hardware. They are replacing it for free. There are millions of batteries that need to be replaced. There are no warehouses in existance that are housing brand-spanking new batteries without issues.
It takes time. Please be patient. Out of the almost 2 million batteries that are being recalled, only, what, 9 of them went wrong. What are the odds that something will happen to yours? Very Very slim. I know/realize that you have a family to protect. Did you know that we all take a risk of getting hurt by living?
Yes, you are getting a new one. Please relax your sense of entitlement a little. In general, I think we as Americans (myself included at times) have an over inflated sense of entitlement. Nothing is perfect. That's pretty much a given. Things need fixing all the time. And, gosh. It takes time to fix things. Sometimes longer than we want it to be. And. Hi tech sometimes takes that much longer to fix.
I feel for you and my parents (and possibly myself - I need to check) who are in the same boat. Complaining about it isn't going to make much of a difference, however.
