[quote WHiiP]Crestor has been very good for me. When I moved to St Augustine I had to find a new doctor and he was not fond of Crestor. After looking at my blood work over several months he has kept me on Crestor. I went from the 280+ down to current level of 165. Good change in HDL vs LDL and the triglycerides are in the proper range as well.
I have been on Crestor since 2004 and can report no problems or pains.
YMMV
Both of my older brothers are now on Crestor. The web has had conflicting stories on it's safety. I asked my new doc about it and it's safety and his reply was that it was a more powerful drug and would provide better results. He said that more powerful drugs sometimes can lead to more risks.
Good to know you have had success with it since 04. I am trying to decide between the Lipitor/ Twin Lab combo (don't know if I will be able to tolerate the Zetia but my diet is very good so I don't know if it really is necessary for me) and Crestor without any Niacin.
I haven't found any pros/cons RE Twin Lab Niacin online as it applied to my high dosage. I'm thinking I may contact Twin Lab.
