buying an inexpensive pc laptop

Thanks for reminding me about that post.

My question today was more related to inxpensive PC laptops, after looking at them today it just made me wonder how in the world they can sell them so cheap and what their longevity might be.

I saw some for $479 but they had AMD chips not duo core.

I was leaning towards the imac, for the value vs the mackbook. But my wife thinks it should be a laptop for portability.
