Thanks for the advice. For the moment PhotoBucket appears to be doing all I need at no cost and having worked out that it's the Tag link I need to put into my Garagesale listings it's very straightforward as well.
At present I have no need to store videos or loads of photos online, I make multiple backups of all our photos on discs as well as HD and they are stored in separate locations as well. Sometime in the future my needs could easily change so I will bear your thoughts in mind.
