Hi Guys, this is an excellent discussion which is very informative for me. I can see where a lease would be really more practical for some situations.
I've been running a 7750DN since June of 04, have run about 108K full pages so far. We actually produce spec sheets, trifold brochures, heavy card prints and small runs of various collateral with it. We've been real happy with this Xerox so far which replaced an HP8550N.
Cost has not been a concern here but rather having the ability to produce very small (25+/-) runs in house to support sales and marketing has made it worhwhile according to our management.
Can't say I've done any cost analysis but elmo's figures above are very helpful.
