Anyone Paint A kitchen Red?

We neglected to tint or primer, and it seemed to take, um, a thousand coats to cover well. On the other hand, our cabinets have a great textured patina sort of thing going on now caused partly by quite visible brush strokes all blended it --- sounds scary but isn't.

But you all are talking about walls, so nevermind ...
