Anyone Paint A kitchen Red?

BUT, i will ask what people think about red as an accent only color as a lower wall paint, like below a chair rail. i'm trying to liven up a really dead "living" room (pun intended).
Usually the darker or more neutral color will recede, while the bolder or less neutral will seem to push at you-- so go for a more neutral or less vibrant red to keep the lower half of the room from jumping out at you.
