open box floor model iPod HiFi $262 good deal?

[quote RAMd®d]...The hifi is all marketing hype and not worth half the cost.

Complete BS.

The Hi-Fi MSRP *is* too high. Having heard one, it's certainly worth more than some would have you believe.

I don't know how much it would cost to get the missing parts. For the most part, you'd need a cable and the iPod adapters. I don't remember if the power supply is built-in or if it uses a brick.

*IF* you can get a new one on flea-bay from a *reputable* dealer for the same or even much less (the prices *look* good) that would be the way to go.

I'm always curious and wary of ebay sellers who advertise NIB Apple gear for far less than *any* KNOWN dealer will sell it for. Why are there so many NIB, unopened? Do that many people get these as gifts and want to off them?

Without knowing how much the cable and adapters would cost, I'd pass on the CUSA "deal".
To each his own opinion. I stand by my statement. I love Apple products -- I use a MacBook Pro, and Intel iMac, and two iPods. No BS. The HiFi sounds good but not great. Marketing might say otherwise, but I say it's overpriced.
