Nothing wrong with the friend zone Peter. One of my best friends is female. She's a sounding board for a TON of advice about females and how they work.
When I first met her over a decade and 1/2 ago, I saw from the start she was VERY high maintenance, so I kinda put her in the friend zone. Best thing I could have done.
Although we have drifted apart and together at times (don't talk for about 6 to 15 months, often when involved in a serious relationship), we usually reconnect and pick up right where we left off.
We are in our "on again" friendship since we are both single at the moment. We actually picked up our friendship again when Kanye West had the Hit song "Gold Digger" and I referred to that jokingly as her "Theme song".
(I ain't saying she a Gold Digger, but she ain't messin' wit no Broke...)
She hates that!
Anyway, hope that friend thing works out for you. Don't be afraid to use her as a sounding board for relationship advice (as a friend), it will help you with dating in the future.
