What would have happened if California only held one primary this year...

California is having another primary election on June 3rd. The Presidential primary was moved up to Feb 5th this year, ostensibly to give Californians a "voice" in deciding who the Presidential nominees would be.

Is there anything ironic about about this now considering the current race between Clinton and Obama?
