My deodorant has freaking POISON in it!?

More like they want to regulate the practice of holistic/alternative practices where such things are proscribed as supposedly valid alternatives to real medicine.

'Bout friggin' time, I say.
From my link:
Handing a cup of raw vegetable juice to someone and telling them it's good for the detoxification of their liver will get you arrested for practicing medicine without a license and promoting an "unapproved drug."

I think more people have been killed by FDA-approved drugs in the last 10 years than those who use herbs or juice to treat themselves. Think about it.
I have to completely agree with decay on this.

Also, the "drugs" MDs typically prescribe play a completely different role than the so-called "alternatives." The drugs are to mitigate the effects of specific medical conditions. Most of them don't actually make your body healthier, they simply reduce the signs of illness.

The "alternatives" work to bolster your immune system and general health of your body, to overcome the conditions.
You're treading on dangerously thin ice, FranX. You would argue that antibiotics merely mask one's symptoms? How about cytotoxics? I will grant you that some drugs fit the description you provide, but your statement above (emphasis by me) is FAR too broad and overreaching. A little bit of critical reasoning goes a long way.
