And yet they still have the GMA950 'Video Card'
The thing is, the Santa Rosa platform has much improved integrated graphics available, though there was much debate here as to whether Apple would actually use them or not in the MacBook line. Entry level or not, it would be nice to get as much bang for the buck out of your $1,100+ purchase as you can -- and the MacBook is really more of a midrange laptop when compared to Windows machines.
I also find it kind of weird that Superdrives are not standard equipment yet. AFAIK the price difference between combo drives and DVD burners has evaporated, so that little feature differentiation has got to be great for Apple's bottom line.
I guess WWDC is just around the corner and all, but I'm a bit disappointed that Apple isn't willing or able to as aggressively roll out some of Intel's new platforms as the other PC makers out there. Maybe they are holding out on revving the MacBook Pro until the LCD backlit displays are ready, but their $2,000+ line of laptops is falling pretty significantly behind the state of the art right now.
