Your town/city most suredly has a web-site.
You should be able to find landfill or transfer station number to call for hours and what they will/will not take.
Dry wall has to be recylcled here.
Not accepted in landfills any more. (gaseously odorific)
Has to be dry and unpainted.
Wet and painted drywall has to be seperated and trucked out of state.
Cardboard has to be recycled, too.
Big fines for tipping it into a landfill.
* what I do is bust it up into little pieces and put a little bit in every bag every week. :-)
