we snagged the brother MFC-8860DN on sale a while back for $420 delivered from costco... it's been great; highly recommend it, does duplex everything. costco also has a duplex print only model, the 8660 that was on coupon in store for $320 (now back to $400 at last visit) a couple of months ago. only difference is 8860 has duplex feed unit for scanning/faxing/copying in addition to the duplex printing. if you were alluding to wanting the duplex in your "we need..." functions, you'll enjoy your 8860 after you get it B)
only minor negative we noticed, is that the darn thing had a bit too much of an oder when we first got it when printing more than a couple of pages. it must have been like new car smell, because the stink factor has noticeably subsided since w/ longer print runs to no longer be an issue.
