Smoke from Georgia wildfires has reached Birmingham

i'm south of Atlanta and though yesterday seemed slightly hazy, i was surprised at the commotion on the news about smoke. i kept walking outside trying to smell something but no go. my son couldn't either. at any rate, i told him not to be outside as much as he usually is and ditched our evening bike ride.
