I can see some merit in the suit if the other chef actually *stole* her family recipes, but how would she know? She says she never even tasted their food. Her claim that the look and feel of her seafood restaurant is intellectual property is hard to swallow - all eateries draw on history and local color; hers seems interchangeable with dozens of other upscale seafood restaurants. She even admits that she took some ideas from a place in San Francisco!
